Arnold Christiansen, age 84. Longview, WA, formerly of Flaxton, died Friday, Oct 16th at his home in Longview, WA.
Graveside services were held Tuesday, Oct. 20, at 3:30 p.m. at the Ebenezer Lutheran Cemetery, rural Flaxton.
He was born on September 12, 1903 at Hardy, NE, a son of Ferdinand and Martine Christiansen. The family came to the Flaxton area in 1909 and they attended rural schools there. He farmed in that area from 1921 to 1923 and then moved to Wisconsin for a time and finally returned to the Flaxton area. In the 1940s he moved to Longview, WA, where he worked at a paper mill and eventually retired but remained in Washington.
He is survived by his sisters, Mildred Christiansen and Oda Hermanson, both of Flaxton, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Thompson-Larson Funeral Home of Bowbells was in charge of graveside services.
