According to a 1920 Census, Ethel D. Hansen is a cousin to Hans Pete Hansen. Her name then was Ethel D. Dahl. On a 1930 census, she had been adopted, also a boy named Kenneth.

Ethel D. Hansen
Rogue River, Ore.- A service for Ethel D. Hansen, 76, was Monday, September 11, 1989, at the First Presbyterian Church, Ashland, Ore, the Rev. David Beamer officiating. Inurnment was in the Scenic Hill Cemetery, Ashland.
Miss Hansen died Tuesday, September 5, 1989, in Rogue River.
She was born April 16, 1913, in Denmark, Ks., and had been a Rogue River resident since 1968, moving from Wisconsin. She had taught at Emporia State, Cornell University in New York, and at Southern Oregon State College in Ashland for 12 years, retiring in 1979.
She was a member of the Rogue River City Planning Commission and the Service Corps of Retired Executives for five years.
Survivors include a brother, Kenneth Hansen of Rogue River; a niece, Marie Carson of Ashland; and two nephews, Kenneth P. Hansen and Roy Hansen, both of Ashland.
Memorials may be made to the Southern Oregon State College Business Department Educational Fund, Ashland.
The Conger-Morris Funeral Directors, Medford, were in charge.
